Grey water system

The grey water will drain into underground reservoirs below the garden area where the garden plants will draw from that water by means of wick watering and tap roots.  See the writeup on the garden area to learn more about the underground reservoirs as they pertain to the garden.

Black water

The black water will be filtered through sand and fed underground to trees and possibly the wild area.

Rain water

The roof of the home will be set at a height so that the water can gravity feed to the rear of the property where it will be collected in large quantities.  The water will then be used to serve the home and garden, excess rain water will fill the underground reservoirs in the garden area.  The system shall be completely passive.  The thought for containing the water is that a large tank be constructed, partly underground and partly above ground.  The tank would likely be constructed from adobe bricks or cobb with proper protective coating. Either way the design is intended to make it easily repairable.
